Step-by-Step Setup with RD4U
- Reset your UniFi Cloud Gateway
Start from a factory-reset gateway to avoid conflicts with previous settings. After you perform the reset, be sure to create a local account so that you can log in locally using a username/password (this local account is critical) - Download RD4U
Get the latest version from rd4u.net and run it on a Windows machine. - Walk through the 5-step wizard
Define VLANs, configure WiFi, enable VPN/DDNS, and set up firewall rules. - Use Preview Mode (optional)
Verify your VLANs and firewall rules before committing any changes. - Apply configuration
Once reviewed, ask the wizard to apply the config directly to your UniFi gateway.
